The Fibonacci Quartet are one of Europe’s leading young string quartets. They have received numerous awards including First Prize at the Premio Paolo Borciani International String Quartet Competition in Italy (2024).
Originally formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, they were selected in 2024 to join the Young Classical Artist Trust (YCAT) roster.
The Quartet’s programme includes one of Beethoven’s earliest quartets, the third of Robert Schumann’s quartets composed in 1842 and known for its romantic style and lyrical melodies, and Bartok’s 5th quartet written in 1934 which is less dissonant than his 3rd and 4th quartets.
The Fibonacci Quartet is sponsored by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust Recital Scheme.
