The Wihan Quartet has been described by International Record Review as “one of the best quartets in the world today”.
Over the years it has developed an outstanding reputation for the interpretation of its native Czech heritage, and of the many classical, romantic and modern masterpieces of the string quartet repertoire.

2024 marks the 120th anniversary of the death of Dvořák and the 200th anniversary of the birth of Smetana, so the Wihan Quartet, approaching its 40th anniversary, brings us an all Czech programme of works.

“The Wihan are consummate instrumentalists in the great Czech tradition, as they show by their richly expressive account of the long, elaborately wrought C major quartet.”
